Commonly used words and their definitions related to inventory:
1. Items
Items are typically SKU'#s or Part#s or UPC#s or ALU's. For example you may have 1000 units of Widget A, thus on the Senitron Athena dashboard you will see 1 item (SKU) and when you click on it, you will see 1000 assets in the detail page.
2. Assets
Each individual unit which has an RFID tag/label is considered an asset. For example if you have 1000 widgets with SKU# 1, you will have 1000 assets on the Senitron Athena Inventory Dashboard. Note, inherently in RFID technology each asset has and must have a unique serial number.
