Wristband Pickup in Seconds

Bands are handed out on site and linked to the attendee at pickup. Staff find the attendee from your registration list, scan the wristband with a handheld RFID reader, and the band is ready to use right away.

  • Woven fabric UHF wristbands: in your designs and colors, one per ticket type, with a one-way locking closure so a band cannot be passed on without cutting it
  • One active band per attendee: a band already linked to someone is refused, so nobody walks away with two
  • Lost or damaged bands: issue a replacement at the desk and the old band is switched off across the system as soon as it is replaced; offline booth stations pick it up the moment they reconnect
  • Fast lines: several pickup desks run side by side, each with its own handheld

A wide bank of hall doors: antennas across the whole opening, people walk through without stopping.

Walk-Through Entrances That Know In From Out

Fixed RFID readers with antennas mounted above your main stage and expo hall entrances read wristbands as attendees walk through — no tapping, no staff scanning bands by hand. A pair of read zones on each side of the threshold tells Senitron which way each attendee walked, so you know who entered, who left, and how many people are in each hall, live.

  • Built for wide door banks: antennas spaced across the full opening, sized to your doors during a site visit
  • Entering vs leaving: two read zones per entrance record the direction of every pass
  • Checked against your list: every band is compared with the live list of deactivated bands you control
  • Temporary and clean: freestanding truss or approved overhead mounts, cables covered, nothing permanent

A Light and a Sound for Deactivated Bands

Optional at any entrance: when a deactivated wristband walks through — a lost band that was replaced, a refunded ticket, a band you switched off — a red light and a sound go off at the door, and the door’s monitor screen shows the band, the ticket type and the reason.

  • Know who set it off: the monitor names the band and the attendee it belonged to, even when a group walks through together
  • Find the band in the group: security’s handheld reader beeps faster as it gets closer to that one wristband
  • Every alert recorded: open alerts stay listed until someone resolves them, with who and when

Open Areas Without Doors

A community hub, a gallery wall, a lounge carved out of the expo floor: no door, just an opening in the wall. Senitron counts the people who go in and filters out the crowd walking past in the aisle.

An open hub: antennas above the opening, aimed into it.

  • Read zone shaped to the opening: antennas aimed down into the entrance, with read power tuned to keep the aisle outside out of the count
  • Walk-bys filtered out: a band seen for a moment and gone is not counted as a visit
  • Tested on your floor: every opening is tuned and tested on site before the show opens
  • Same in and out logic: two read zones tell entering from leaving, like the main halls

Pool Parties and Evening Receptions

Outdoor pool party

A big crowd arrives at once through one opening that is both the entrance and the exit. A freestanding truss with weatherproof antennas reads everyone walking through and tells arrivals from departures, exactly like the main halls — with protected cable runs and nothing fixed to the hotel.

Hotel lobby bar: count real attendance

An open bar with no entrance, and hotel guests walking past all evening. Senitron counts an attendee only after their band has been in the area for the minimum time you set — five minutes, for example. People who just walk past aren’t counted as attendees. It runs after the halls close, so it reuses the same hardware.

Sponsor Booth Tap Stations

Attendees tap their wristband on a handheld RFID reader standing in a secure cradle at each sponsor booth. A big green check or a red X shows the result at a glance, and the sponsor gets the check-in.

  • Unattended: the station runs on its own all day, plugged in or on its battery
  • Keeps working without Wi-Fi: taps are stored on the station and sent automatically when the connection is back
  • Short range on purpose: read power is set for close range, so the station picks up the wristband held to it, not the people walking by
  • Move them yourselves: pick up a station, take it to the pool party, and assign it to the new sponsor in the portal — no Senitron staff needed
  • Each sponsor sees only their booth: lead details are shared only for attendees who opted in

Two Ways to Check In: RFID Tap Station or QR Scan Station

The same woven wristband can carry a UHF RFID chip and a printed QR code, so you choose the check-in that fits each spot. The walk-through entrances stay fully automatic RFID either way; only the booth, classroom and desk check-ins change.

Both feed the same sponsor reports, class attendance and live data to your system. Mix them as you like: RFID tap stations where speed matters most, QR scan stations where budget matters most.

VIP Lounges and Classroom Doors

VIP lounge

Security checks each wristband at the entrance and sees right away whether that ticket type is allowed in — a large green or red result with the reason, and nothing more about the attendee than they need. Which ticket types may enter is set per area and per day. Read more about VIP access control with RFID.

Classroom doors

The screen says so and sends them to the registration desk; a supervisor can let someone in, and the reason is recorded.

One Command Center for the Whole Show

The Senitron portal shows the event live: how many people are in each hall, every door pass, sponsor check-ins, classes, VIP checks, open alerts and the status of every reader and station. Every table can be exported to Excel or CSV, and the post-show report is ready the night the show closes. See how RFID data drives attendee engagement and post-event analytics.

Your Registration System Stays Yours

You already run your own registration system and app. Senitron does not replace them — it connects to them. Attendees, ticket types, class bookings and your deactivated-band list flow in; every read flows out.

  • Every read, as it happens: band ID, reader, location, timestamp and direction, pushed to your server in real time
  • Or pull it: a REST API and Excel / CSV exports of every read
  • No payments, no ticketing: just the RFID layer, so nothing changes for your attendees online
  • Private event network: readers and stations run on the network you reserve at the venue

RFID Wristbands for Events: Common Questions

Does Senitron replace our registration or ticketing system?

No. Your registration system and app stay in charge of attendees, ticket types and class bookings. Senitron links each wristband to the attendee at pickup and sends every read back to your system in real time, through a push to your server, a REST API or exports.

How do walk-through entrances tell entering from leaving?

Each entrance has two read zones, one on each side of the threshold. Senitron sees which zone read the wristband first and records the pass as an entry or an exit, so you can see live how many people are in each hall.

How do you avoid counting people walking past an open area?

The antennas are aimed down into the opening and their read power is tuned to keep the aisle outside out of the count, and a wristband seen for only a moment is not counted as a visit. Every opening is tuned and tested on site before the show opens.

Can you count someone only after they have stayed for a set time?

Yes. For open spaces like a hotel lobby bar, set a minimum stay, for example five minutes, and an attendee is counted only after their wristband has been in the area that long. People who just walk past are not counted as attendees.

Can our own team move the sponsor booth tap stations?

Yes. Pick up the station, take it to its new booth or to an evening event, and assign it to the new location in the Senitron portal. No Senitron staff are needed.

Do the booth stations need Wi-Fi?

No. Each station shows the green or red result on the spot and stores the taps, then sends them automatically as soon as it is back on the network.

What happens when a group walks through with one deactivated wristband?

The light and sound go off and the door monitor shows which band it was, the attendee it belonged to and why it was deactivated. Security can then find that one wristband in the group with a handheld reader, which beeps faster as it gets closer.

How do you handle lost wristbands?

The attendee gets a new band at the registration desk. The old band is switched off across the system as soon as it is replaced, and offline booth stations pick up the change the moment they reconnect. Each attendee has only one active band at a time.

Can we use QR codes instead of RFID at some check-ins?

Yes. The same woven wristband can carry a UHF RFID chip and a printed QR code. Walk-through entrances stay automatic RFID, while sponsor booths, classrooms and desks can use either an RFID tap station or a lower-cost QR scan station. Both show a green or red result and feed the same reports and live data to your system.

Do you provide on-site support?

Yes. Senitron sets everything up before the show, runs it with your team through every show day, and handles teardown, including equipment that stays up for an extra day.
